INTERSTYLE 2011

February 16th 2011

The Surfing In Japan Team jumped on the train and went down to Yokohama to visit "InterStyle 2011" which is one of Asias largest Trade fairs for

Skate / Surf & Snow Traders

This year we thought we may have seen a decrease in size due to the tough economy but completley the opposite, every corner of every hall was jam packed with stands and the atmosphere was great, seems this industry is still growing

There were a lot of new products on display in every area especially in the skate area with new style electric powered boards buzzing around and some stunning

paint jobs. The action on the half pipes was fantastic as always.

In the surfing zone it was obvious from the start the huge boom the industry is seeing in "SUP" boards or "stand up padddle" boards and after talking to a few stall holders it became clear why; the technology is now there to makes the boards light and durable and cheap enough for the average surfer to stick one in his quiver.

Our toy of the day had to be the blow up self heating Jacuzzi which you can carry in your car . "I want one"

It was also good to see the boys from Go Pro who are just about to launch there 3D camera set up in March.

All in all it was a great show and we filled our goodie bags with stickers and magazines. If you want to visit the show drop us a line and we can help get you tickets, or even organize an exhibitors stand for you. At a cost of course. See you in 2012
