The epic last weekend of October (Typhoon #14 CHABAL) blew over into the first 3 days of November then the pacific went flat for nearly 10 days. The 3rd week and swells came back with power - Fukushima, Ibaraki and Chiba all got really nice waves, Lots of NE winds as well so the points that work well on NE swell and NE winds came alive. 19th, 20th & 21st the team got a sizeable swell with a 14 Sec period hitting the reefs of Chiba at an almost perfect angle and throwing out some real quality surf - clean with some big bombs. The last week saw surf everywhere Monday to Friday.

Summary: Anyone with time chasing surf scored good waves this month. The more time you had to poke around the more you got. - Combined with October - smiles all around!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best memories of the month:

1. Riding 12ft faces at Hebara on the big swell 19 - 21st

2. Epic barrel session at a secret spot in Chiba where one of the team got a sweet double barrel on a single wave.

3. Getting slammed and worked over in powerful waves - AT LAST - "gotta pay for your fun" First 2 wave hold down for ages on a Hebara Bomb :)

4. A fantastic session at Kujigawa in Ibaraki with fast breaking beach barrels, 27th

5. Meeting some more good people into the surf stoke

Big Waves Ridden: Multiple 12ft peaks at Hebara - Hitachi reef throwing out big big takeoffs into long sweet right handers or 2nd peak waves at a reef in Chiba
