Camera Quality

This webcam has a 95% up time and fantastic clear picture with great control as well.A fantastic Camera just to sit and watch the surfers.

Ioka Main Beach - these the beaches at the very top of Chiba heading south for about 2.5km. This part of the coast is protected by concrete tetrapods installed parallel to the coast. The beach is open for a couple of hundred meters between each set of 'pods. On really big days the surf will break outside the 'pods and on good days will run through into the deeper water channels between them.

Surprisingly popular considering the poor quality of surf on offer. Its a great place for beginners because of the flat contour of the sea bed and the resulting soft waves and this is the only place in Chiba you can take your car on the beach.

It is also one of the of the favorite haunts for Japanese surf schools due to the easy access and easy waves.
